Windy, Wet and Wild

Rainfall began in earnest late last evening as temperatures held steady in the lower 50's overnight.

A very strong storm system in the southern plains is forecast to move ever so slowly to the east, then northeast over the next couple of days and swing a strong cold front through the SEARK Thursday morning. Ahead of the front this evening and tonight, thunderstorms will develop, some of which may become severe. Isolated tornadoes are possible, especially areas west of a Waldron to Malvern to Monticello line.

A squall line will form along or ahead of the front late tonight or Thursday morning. The main threat with it will be straight-line winds.

Also, heavy rains can be expected-to the tune of 2-4 inches. So instead of riding in a sleigh to Grandmas house Christmas morning(nice thought isn't it?), you may need a boat instead!
