Mild and Showery Weather in the 4-Cast

After a couple of cool nights and mild daytime temps, things turn a little damp for a good part of the weekend. Thankfully, no heavy rain is expected.  Temps will gradually cool back to seasonal norms by Thanksgiving Day as high pressure builds in from the High Plains region.

Looking down the road,  Arctic air is having a tough time making it in the Lower Forty-Eight so far this fall.  As November turns into December, it looks as if the NAO (we talked about this last year) is about to turn negative and the PNA will go positive, changing the overall weather pattern for most of the U.S.-especially toward the middle of December.  Right now, most of Canada has no snow on the ground. November has been warm, after a cooler than average October.  Look for things to change in the upcoming weeks.

See you tomorrow at War Memorial Stadium-GO HOGS!!
