I had the opportunity to travel over to the Delta this weekend, to see firsthand the
damage to crops caused by the recent heavy rains. damaged cotton bolls, soybeans standing in water, and
lodging- where rice stalks are broken over due to heavy rains and wind. What the Delta needs is a few weeks with little or no rain. What they may be getting though is more of the same. There is that possibility.
A storm system and associated cold front will be approaching the SEARK by Tuesday increasing our chances of storms and possible heavy rain. There is also chance that some of those storms may be severe. The front may hang up in our "neck of the woods" and keep rain chances in the forecast through most of the week.
Check out these 7-day rain totals for the Southeast- unbelievable!!!
