Rainy Period Settling In For SEARK

If it were a little cooler, I would be tempted to go squirrel hunting today! You could here one jump for a looong ways this morning!

Cloudy skies and scattered showers occurred in the overnight hours as an upper level low over far SE Texas continued to organize and pump copious amounts of moisture into the Seark. Low temps overnight were mostly in the low 70's.

Rain chances remain high thru the weekend as the upper level system moves ever so slowly to the north into NE Texas by Sunday. Thunderstorms are possible also in the afternoon and evening hours, although no severe weather is anticipated. Looks like the ArkLaTex region is favored for the heaviest of the rain, with lesser amounts as you move north and east of the upper level system. Temps will remain mild with no major temperature variations due to cloud cover and precipitation.
