Much Needed Rain Falling Across the Region

Rain and a few thunderstorms moved into the SEARK this morning as a strong cold front continued to push thru the state. As of 10:15, the heaviest of the rainfall was moving thru Drew. County. The precipitation will taper off later this afternoon. Temperatures will remain steady to the lower 50's throughout the evening.

Our next storm system will start affecting the area Tuesday into Tuesday night. Strong storms are possible, depending on the timing and the available instability. The last couple of systems have moved through at night or early in the morning, limiting their severity. Moderate to heavy rain is also a possibility with this next storm system.
