A cold front will move across the state this afternoon and evening, and bring with it the possibility of some severe weather. The main threats with this damaging winds and hail but, an isolated tornado cannot be ruled out. Those at greatest risk for tornadoes are extreme SE Arkansas, extreme NE Louisiana, and most of northern and central Mississippi. Please review your tornado preparedness rules and stay abreast of breaking weather by tuning to your local NOAA weather radio or internet source, or your local TV station.
Colder weather will filter in behind the front and temperatures will slowly moderate through the end of the week.
