Can the SEARK Dodge the Bullet Again?

Mostly sunny skies and brisk southerly winds allowed temperatures to rise into the mid 80’s Sunday.

An area of showers and thunderstorms will move into state early Monday morning, ahead of a strong cold front.  The front is expected to move quickly through the state, exiting the area in the late afternoon/early evening hours.

Although a few severe storms are possible, a widespread severe weather event is not anticipated.  The area of greatest risk for severe weather in Arkansas is-you guessed it-the southeast portion of the state.

The National Weather Service in Jackson, MS is expecting a widespread severe weather outbreak for the northern portion of Mississippi.  In fact, The Weather Channel’s Mike Siedel will be in Starkville and Reed Timmer (Storm Chasers) tweeted today that he would be in Western Mississippi on Monday.  We may not be in the bulls eye of the severe weather tomorrow, but we are pretty close!
