Temperatures remained steady overnight due to cloud cover. Showers will be increasing in coverage today as the next system approaches the area. A few thunderstorms may also develop as the warm front moves through. Southeast winds will also be increasing today into tonight. There is a slight risk of severe storms today into tonight but much like this weekend’s system, the higher threat will be to our south. We have been very fortunate this spring thus far, as most of the storm systems keep arriving after we lose our daytime heating, when instability begins to lessen. The closer we get to April, look for this to change. We’ll start being in the “crosshairs” of these severe weather events.
